Usually press releases issued by automobile companies about their financial results comprise mainly of numbers related to profit, loss, investment etc. Such releases do not carry a mention of any future product that the manufacturer plans to launch in the market. But the Netherlands based supercar manufacturer Spyker stated its plans to launch a convertible B6 Venator in the middle of an official business press release!
The manufacturer stated in the press release that its B6 Venator coupe will go into production along with its convertible version. The manufacturer has not mentioned a date, time or location with regards to their plans of revealing the convertible B6 Venator. The only upcoming big ticket event is the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and it is likely that Spyker will reveal the B6 Venator Spyder during the show.
The B6 Venator was first reveled to the world at the the March 2013 Geneva Auto Show. The concept supercar show at the venue was in coupe styling. The convertible B6 Venator will get the same mid-mounted V6 engine from the coupe which produces 375PS of peak power. Its performance is expected to be dramatic as the supercar will have a low body weight owing to an aluminium chassis and carbon fibre body.
The Spyker B6 Venator is likely to reach production stage in early 2014. The coupe version will be sold alongside the convertible with the B6 Venator Spyder likely to be a bit more expensive than the B6 Venator coupe. The supercars are expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 67.25 lakh to Rs 81.07 lakh once they are ready to be sold in the market. According to reports, the first batch of the supercars are being allocated to the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Indian markets with a US launch in autumn 2014.
