2014 BMW 4-Series Models And Production Dates Revealed

If you’re counting down the days until you can buy a new BMW 4-Series coupe or convertible, here’s some good news: 4-Series Forums has published a leaked chart from BMW, showing the production start (and end) dates of all 2014 4-Series models (excluding the M4).

Caught undergoing testing in Europe, the models have an evolutionary design which was recently previewed by the 4-Series Coupe concept that debuted at the North American International Auto Show. As a result, we can expect the models will have a sporty front fascia, ventilated front fenders and unique taillights.

Despite the name change, engine options are expected to carryover from the 3-Series. This means choices will likely include:

1. A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel with 184 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque
2. A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with 184 HP (135 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque
3. A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque
4. A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six cylinder with 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque

The Coupe is slated to go into production in July and the Convertible will reportedly follow several months later.
