Porsche will field it’s new 911 RSR for several endurance races being held this year including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship. Based on the 991 911, the wheelbase of the 911 RSR has been increased by four inches. The car has a new wishbone front suspension which replaces the older one’s McPherson struts. A 4.0-litre boxer 6-cylinder 460PS engine powers the 911 RSR. The engine is mated to a lightweight 6-speed racing gearbox. Porsche have kept the centre of gravity as low as possible and have also shed some weight off the base car with generous usage of carbon fiber.
